Hi All,

I have successfully loaded the WINXPE image. But in that i was not able to
see the desktop contents like my computer etc. Also right click
functionalities are not working. But in the Explorer i can see the desktop
contents, but it is not visible in the desktop. I think i am missing some
components. Could any one suggest which componet i need to add for right
click functionality and viewing the desktop contents.

Expecting an Early reply.

Did you per chance get the error "no registry data found" when you logon?
because im experiencing the same problem. And that is the error I received.

Hey KM,

Amazinigly enough I'm having problems with one of my images where the
right click funcionality does not work but I have selected the Context
menu options under the User Interface Core. I've added components to
this build as I go along each time checking to make sure that those two
option are checked. And each time I build the image I don't have the
right click functionality available. Have you seen this before? I
really don't feel like starting the build from scratch and adding back
in all of the components to see if this fixes the problem. Is there a
registry key setting that needs to be added or a missing dll perhaps?
Thanks,

Dwayne

Dwayne,

I have not seen such strange behavior.

Can you verify that the option is set at run time?
Just after you build the image, open DEFAULT hive offline and check these values:
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer],"NoViewContextMenu"
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer],"NoTrayContextMenu"

If they are set to set to "1" - you've got a build problem.
If not, but the right click functionality still does not work, set the values manually to "0" and see if it helps.
