Problem in right side taskbar

I am used to have the taskbar at right hand side and 3 columns large.
However, when I logoff or reboot, the taskbar appears with only 2 columns,
even if I have had locked it.
Is there a way to effectively lock it in 3 columns?

What do you mean by "three columns"?

If you mean the *height* of the task bar, then just drag the top edge up
until you get the "three columns" you refer to.
If needed, uncheck "Lock Taskbar" before doing the above, and lock it again
afterwards. Restart the system to see if the setting holds.
