Problem in form inserting a new record

I have a form that is actually a very simple form but recently the "new
record" Icon, the Add Record Button and the New Record icon on the ribbon are
not available. The "Allow Additions" property is set to yes. I get a dialog
box with "You can't go to the specified record." It was working and I've no
clue as to why it quit. HELP

Is the recordsource of the form a multi-table query that may have
recently been changed? In many cases, queries involving multiple
tables are not upateable.
