Problem in connecting USB router

Sajeevkumar

Hi,

Recently I have bought an ADSL Broadband modem with router
(AZTECH DSL305EU). There are two types of connections for
this modem. 1 is Ethernet and another is a USB. The
Ethernet I have connected to my server (windows 2000)
which is working fine.
The problem came in when I tried to connect the USB to my
windows XP mechine. I have already installed all the
drivers provided by AZTECH. (USB & device)
When I do 'IPCONFIG /ALL' I can see the ip address (169.*)
which is different from what I expected. The IP address
from ADSL should be between 10.0.0.3 and 10.0.0.14 as
default.
I have tried to do 'IPCONFIG /RELEASE' but no change.

Anybody help me?

Thanks
Sajeev

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

I have given the command 'ipconfig/renew' and I got the
following message.

An error occured while renewing interface Local Area
Connection. An operation was attempted on something that
is not a socket.

Please help me..

Thanks
Sajeev
