Problem in auto run program during Safe Mode

I have been trying to auto run a program using key in the registry
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Unfortunately, this key wouldnt work in Safe Mode bootup.

I seen some suggestion on putting asterick * infront of the Key name
but it still doesnt launch automatically.

Anyone can help?

Fortunately since that key (and others) are used by malware. One
would *not* want them "active" in SafeBoot mode.

Sorry, never heard of that one.

First I suggest you determine if "a program" will even function in
SafeBoot mode. Many will not.

I cannot say what methods may work to "autostart" your unnamed
program on an unnamed OS.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

First of all, i checked the program can run in SafeMode environment.
Secondly, the program is intended to run on Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP
to protect the computer from unauthorised access.

The program need to be launched even in SafeMode during startup to
start checking for identities of the person who logon to the computer.

Do you have any idea how this maybe achieved?

Thanks for the help.

Run it as a service perhaps, granted SafeBoot operations.
