Problem grouping items in reports

When I request grouping in a report in access. Instead of print the value of
what is being grouped it looks like it is printing an index number. Any Ideas
 
What is in the 'group by' field?

What is in the group header or footer? Is an autonumber field being
displayed there, or do you have the field you wish to see?
