Problem embedding music file

I'm trying to embed a music file into my PowerPoint Presentation that I need
to distribute on a DVD.

I need it embedded since it must play on different computers that have
different DVD drive assignments. The help says that there is a limit (100Kb
default) that if the file is over this it's linked. I set the limit to 5000
Mb (larger than my music file size) but the music file does not get embedded.
What am I doing wrong (if anything)?

thanx, mark

ONLY wav files can be enbedded, ALL other multimedia types are linked.

thank you, that answers my question, but it's not the answer I wanted... :-(

The docs do not state this restriction.

thanx for the answer, mark

Read the link I gave you. You don't have to embed files in order for them to
play on CD/DVD, even with different drive designations.

Change the setting in Tools|Options to 50000, which is about 50MB. Then
convert your sound to a WAV. Only WAVs are embedded.

Or put the sound in the same folder as the presentation before you insert it
into the presentation. This creates a relative link, and it should remain
intact when you play the presentation from the PPT Viewer off the CD or DVD.

You'll need to provide us with more information if you need more specific
assistance.
