Problem creating new appointments outlook 2007

Hi
I have a problem with Outlook 2007. If I click on a date to create a new
appointment the current date appears by default and no matter what time I
choose for the appointment to start, it appears in the calendar as 12.00 am.
Any suggestions
Thanks

What type of PC is it?

I should add further - there is obviously a problem with the calendar in
other ways too - I cannot view just one day a week. In 7 day mode if I select
to show only the working week, the whole week still appears though I have
selected leave Friday out of my working week. I have tried diagnostics but it
reports all is well. I have also tried repairing my Office installation. I
have the latest updates.
Nothing seems to solve this problem
Thanks

In Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs, see if you have a Cyberlink
application called Outlookaddinsetup or something similar. If you find it,
uninstall it. It's part of Media Direct and it can cause odd problems with
Outlook's calendar.

Thanks for the response - no I don't have anything like that installed.
However I have solved the problem by exporting all my email and contacts,
deleting my Outlook datafile and starting again. Now it is running fine, so
the file must have been corrupted.
