Problem copying notes - has not been answered

This is really getting frustrating. I'm asking the question again.

When I try to copy the notes in the Notes folder to another folder by
selecting all notes, copying it and then pasting it to new folder, I
get the following message:

"Creating a new item from the selected items could take some time. Are
you sure you want to create a new item from these 292 items?"

When I click Yes, i get the message:

"Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and
try again."

I closed everything except outlook, tried it again and i get the same
message.

Questions:
1. Why does this happen?
2. What is the best way to copy notes to another folder when you have
more than 50 notes?

I just want to move back my notes which I backed up to a pst to the new

default outlook file. (Incidentally the reason I'm doing this is that
I've been having problems syncing notes and one solution was to backup
existing notes, erase them and move backup back.)

Outlook has been a product for so many years I cannot believe it's
still so buggy I want to throw my laptop and sue Microsoft and get my
money back.

Thanks.

PS:
Outlook 2003 SP1
I tried the list view and not icons view
I am SURE I'm copying it from a Notes type of folder to a Notes type of

folder.
I can copy whole folders but I want to put my notes backup to the
default notes folder.
All other items I can copy item per item no problem. Notes I cannot.

This will happen if the folder you are copying to is not a notes folder. Take care when you create a new folder that it's of the proper type for the items you want to store there.

With all due respect Sue, I answered this before, I included it in my
repost and I am answering it now:

I am SURE I'm copying it from a Notes type of folder to a Notes type of
folder. I am 100% sure.

This is not so difficult you know. The notes folder looks like a notes
folder. Cannot be mistaken for anything else. I am not a newbie in
outlook that's why I am really frustrated after having used outlook and
activesync for so long, bugs like this keep on existing.

I have no problems copying or moving 1 or 2 note items (FROM A NOTES
FOLDER TO ANOTHER NOTES FOLDER). I am having problems copying/moving
several.

The reason why i'm doing this? Well because activesync for some reason
suddenly fails to synch my notes. I have uninstalled outlook,
activesync, hard reset my PC and just about did everything save throw
my pc and ppc out of the window. Just so frustrating how an
organization as big, rich and supposedly brilliant as microsoft cannot
figure out little bugs like this.

I'm sorry if I'm venting. I just wasted days trying to solve this and
several other problems (like if you have contacts with several
categories, outlook and activesync syncs some of the categories and not
all. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!! I'm thankful for people like Raj who offered some
solutions but alas none work. Were there any KBs from the mighty
microsoft? Nada. None. Zero.

And to think that if you search these problems in the newsgroup, it's
been existing for 5 years or something like that.

maybe as an MVP you have friends in the development team. maybe you can
tell them to get their acts together. i mean they may be billionaires
by now but hell if they make products like this, they should pay me for
time wasted.

i know you can always say get another product. i could but i paid for
the software, i paid for the device which includes the software in it.
so I think i need to get my money's worth right?

i wish bill gates and his "brilliant" developers read this.

sorry for venting. i know you're trying to help. thank you. i'm just so
frustrated
