problem connecting to windows 2000 computer from XP computer

I have a network with 3 computers 2 x Windows Xp home and one windows 2000

when I try to access the shared folders on the windows 2000 computer from
either of the XP machines I am required to login - is there a way to avoid
getting this login box.

any pointers would be appreciated

enable the guest account?
