Problem connecting to the Internet

Hello. I am using Win XP Pro.

I have an 'always-on' Internet connection. (I mean the computer connects to
the Internet automatically upon logging in.) However, after a scan for
spywares using the AntiSpyware (Beta), I can no longer connect to the
Internet.

I checked with my ISP; I reinstalled my Ethernet interface card; I examined
the cables, but the problem persists. Could anybody tell me what went wrong?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was actually looking for this the other day. I have the file downloaded,
but there was a site that provided a file that you download, before running
antispyware and deleting anything it finds because it wipes out your
connection settings. Wish I could remember where it was.
