Problem Connecting to Internet

I have 7 workstations on a wireless LAN. All run Win2K
Pro and IE6. On one pc, I have full access to the entire
network (workgroup, other PCs, file server, print server,
etc...) but I cannot access the internet. The setup on
this system is exactly the same as every other
workstation in the office so I'm not understanding why
all the computers work except this one. What am I missing?

Run ipconfig /all on this, and a working workstation, and compare them.

Can thise non-working computers, can they ping the default gateway IP? A DNS
server?

My guess would be a typo in the default gateway address or the DNS
address on the afflicted PC.

I have what may be a similar problem. I recently added at
third computer to a wireless network. The new machine can
see the router, but has only imperfect access to the
internet. One machine is hardwired to a D-Link DI-624
router that is connected to a cable modem. The other two
are in another room and connect via wireless adapters
(Linksys WMP54G). Both see the router just fine and I can
run the router control panel from both. One can talk to
the internet with no problem. The other can browse, but
cannot get beyond that. For instance, I went to the
Microsoft web site to check whether I needed any updates
for my W2K system. On one machine the MS checker worked
just fine and told me what I was missing. On the other it
returned error 0x800C0005. I also get a popup window that
says "List index out of bounds (43)". I have not been able
to find references to these errors on the MS support web
site.
