problem connecting to home network

I recently formatted my computer which was connected to my home network, I
reinstalled Windows and was able to connect to the network. Now My computer
cannot connect and when I run the Diagnostic It fails to ping the computer
which is still on the network. Can somebody help me? I have tried many times
to re-setup the home network but it doesn't help. Thanks for your suggestions
