Problem clicking links in e-mails

Short story : crash = reinstall everything.

After installing Office business 2003, it was followed by Netscape Opera and
Firefox (I develop websites in my spare time and have to check on these
before launching sites).

Now, each time I click on a link in an e-mail, 2 instances of IE is opening.
I figured it might be Firefox/opera or Netscape the problem following the
Netscape 8 / IE conflict (I installed version 7, not 8). So I uninstalled
the 3 of them, rebooted and got the same problem.

Any idea how to correct his ?

BTW, with this problem, when I click on a URL shortcut (but not on my
desktop, i.e anywhere else), IE opens with a blank page and stays there
waiting for god know what. Nothing happens. If I click the stop button in
IE, it gives me that error
res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm (IE can't open the page
bla bla bla)

Any ideas ? Is that the same problem ? Those Firefox/Opera/Netscape really
screw up IE.

And I forgot : when an IE window is already open, I don't get that problem
of IE giving me blank page. The URL opens as it should.
