Problem burning DVD'S with "NERO"

Info: I use software "ahead NERO", my DVD-R/RW is "LITEON".

Problem: Every time I try to execute command "burn" I get a
notice: "insert an empty medium disc." So it seems to me
that "NERO" is reading that the discs have data. Of course
they do not. So is it a problem that "NERO" is creating or
is it from the DVD player.
