Hello. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. I have a Windows XP pro
machine running Outlook 2003 fully patched in a an exchange/networked
environment. I have a client that when trying to book a resource through
Outlook gets this error message "The operation failed. An object could not be
found. Unable to directly book a resource for this meeting". I thought I had
this fixed when I turned off caching and it worked for a while before the
problem came back. Again, any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

did you try to clean out the local caches in the profile of that user? they
tend to get corrupted from time to time

Hey thanks for your reply. Not sure what you mean by local cache. Are you
referring to the .nk2 file? If so why would the error message happen if the
user is grabbing the name from the global address list?

Well the adressbook is cached locally and can become corrupted if you are
working with exchange cached mode.
You could try disactivating the exchange cached mode
The local caches are on c:\documents and settings\username\application
data\microsoft\outlook\ and c:\documents and settings\username\local
settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\
