Limit Outlook users from accessing resource calendar

Hi all,
How can I limit Outlook users to view (view only, but not adding/editing/deleting items) a resource calendar in Outlook but still allow them to direct booking the resource?

[running system: Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003/2007]

You can't the rights to direct booking give editing rights to all.

"With these advantages in mind, some disadvantages of Direct booking

Direct booking requires granting organizer read/write permissions on
the calendar. Hence, users can just go onto the resource's calendar
and delete existing meetings to free up space for their own meetings.
