Problem between IE6 and JVM

I am having problems with the Java Virtual Machine and
IE6. When clicling on a link that generates a dynamic URL
by Java script the page won't open and IE hangs. I believe
the problem is with IE giving the JM the wrong address. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled several versions of
service packs to no avail. Can someone tell me the exact
combination of patches I need to get IE to perform
properly? I am running XP on a Dell and file-server
network. No error messages come up. Also it won't create a
new window frame when attempting to Open in New Window and
hangs up.

Thank you

JavaScript has nothing to do with the Java VM.

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
