Problem after re-installing Vista

Please help! I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li1718. I had a problem with
spyware so I re-installed Windows Vista using the disc supplied with my
laptop. Before the re-installation, my wireless worked perfectly fine.
However, since I have re-installed Vista, when I click the wireless button,
nothing happens. It appears my laptop has lost the capability to start any
sort of wireless detection. Please help as it is a new laptop and I don't
want to have to buy a new one!
Thanks

The installation disk probably did not include the drivers for the specific
devices in your computer. You should have also gotten another disc with
hardware drivers on it. Even better is to go the the Fujitsu site and
download the latest drivers for your hardware. Especially on a laptop the
hardware is tweaked by the maker so that generic drivers can't work with
them. This may be true for video, sound, and networking devices.

Note that there may also have been (may still be) the ability to restore (vs
reinstall). On many machines if you hold down the F11 key while in the boot
sequence you get the opportunity to restore exactly as it came from the
manufacturer. Check you manual for such an option.

Simple thing, but also check to make sure that the "hardware" Wireless
LAN switch is on/enabled... If it is like my T4220 at all, many
people would never notice it...
