I recently purchased a WD3200 320Gb hard drive and a USB enclosure to build a backup storage unit.
I installed the Hard drive without a problem, but when I tried to use it, I could not properly format the drive.
Using both WINXP Disk Management and Partion Magic, it is being viewed as a 2048GB drive.
To make sure that there was nothing wrong with the drive, I installed it in my desktop. The desktop senses it as a 305Gb drive.
Why won't this drive work right in the external enclosure?
What can I do so that it works correctly in the enclosure?
