problem accessing Windows Update site after installing IE6SP1

Hi,

I've setup a Win2k unattended install on my network for future machine
deployment but I'm having some issues with IE6. I've incorporated IE6 in to
my unattended install by adding the line ".\ie6setup /q" to the cmdlines.txt
file in the $oem$ folder and IE6 installs seamlessly. I have downloaded all
IE6 files locally so that it is not necessary to connect with a Microsoft
server to install IE6 during setup. After Windows is fully loaded and I try
to access the Windows Update website it gives back an error of "0x80190193".
I researched this error with the Windows Update troubleshooter and it says it
has to do with network congestion. There is no network congestion on my
network and any other Windows 2000 machine can ALWAYS connect without issue,
so I know its this machine and not the Windows Update servers being too busy.
It also suggested reinstalling Windows Script (scripten.exe) but I tried
that without success. Finally, I tried to uninstall IE6 hoping that would
reverse the problem but after reverting back to IE5 it still gave the same
error (I used an unconventional means to revert back to IE5 - IE6 is NOT
listed in Add/Remove programs for some reason. So, I located the hidden
ie.inf file and executed it to run the install. It needed Windows files
which it pulled from my network install share for Win2k and reverted back to
IE5 fine, but still gave the same error). I also tried re-registering and
de-registering certain .dlls (with regsvr32.exe) I thought might be
associated with Windows Update but that failed as well. I'm about out of
ideas and need to get these new machines connected to Windows Update for
future use. How do I resolve this error with IE6 and Windows Update?

Please help! Thanks..
