Hello

I have 2 computers with windows XP HOME edition in a LAN
connected with a router that again is connected to a
broadband router.
Both computers are on the Internett and it is working
fine.

The computers also want to share files and printer.
They can see each other on the LAN but they cannot access
the other computer or see shared foler or shared printer.
They have the same workgroup but do not have the same
username. They are on the same ip range.

Can anyone help?

Run the Network Setup Wizard on both computers to fully enable file
sharing. Tell the Wizard that they connect to the Internet through a
"residential gateway" (router).

If you've installed a firewall program on either computer, un-install
it while troubleshooting the network.
