Probably can't be done

This is one of those questions where I think it probably cannot be done but I
will ask anyway.
Is it possible to create a diamond shape in a report. It is to indicate a
milestone in a Gantt Chart. What I want to do is firstly be able to create
the diamond rather than use a rectangle, and secondly set the colour at
runtime based on a selection by the user. I know I could use an image which
I am doing now, Thought of a number of different images but it is a bit
messy. Ideal would be to allow the user to change colour at runtime.

I believe utteraccess.com has a section devoted entirely to the manipulation
of app's UI's, and also if I remember correctly, I think theaccessweb
(mvps.org) and www.lebans.com may have examples of creating irregularly
shaped forms.

I'm pretty sure what you are looking for can be done, but you should be able
to get some more info there.

The diamond shape is, IIRC, the letter u in the Wing Dings font. I
use that symbol in red on various forms to indicate overdue items and
such.

For example see
http://www.granitefleet.com/ScreenShots/screen_Equipment.htm and go
down to the fourth screen shot.

Many thanks Tony. That solved the problem. So easy when you know how.
Incidentally, great site. I ended up on your site for about and hour and
bookmarked it for future browsing.

Thanks but which site? granite.ab.ca has a lot of Access info. It's
an ugly website but then I started creating it back in 1995 using
Notepad.

If the Granite Fleet Manager, if you can sell it on my behalf you get
a commission.
