Probably a W32.Bugbear.B@mm Infection?

Dennis Eichardt

Hi there!

I've got a problem with the W32.Bugbear.B@mm Virus. Norton Anti-Virus
showed me that it has moved one infected attachment into quarantine. If I do
a complete scan of my harddisk, there are no infections found.

BUT: If I leave my computer unattended for about an hour, it seems like
Outlook tries to send a lot of mails (100+). Norton Antivirus detects them
and rejects them. But some get through it.

Later I received the following in my inbox:
Norton AntiVirus removed the following attachment: CDPARAM.TXT.scr.
The Attachment was infected with the W32.Bugbear.B@mm virus.

So what should I do now? I'm totally out of ideas.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Ah, by the way: My scanner and definitions are the latest one you could get.
:)

Click on NAV icon. Once you have it on your screen, click on Reports.
There will appeared several Reports and one of them will be "Quarantined
items", click on "View Reports", there will appeare another screen with a
list of all quarantined items. marked each one of them to be deleted, once
you done that, a message will appeare indicating if you wish to delete them
all, answer yes and all items on the quarantined area will be deleted and
the screen will be blank.

That's the best way to eliminate all viruses. Don't even bother to repair or
send them to Norton for their analysis. Is not worth it.
