Probably a stupid question

I did something to my wife's computer, in Outlook, and
now, when an email comes in, and that email has a webpage
address listed in the text, she can't click on it with her
mouse. When she does click on it, a Save box pops up,
with the file that is to be saved as an executable file.

Can anyone tell me how to undo what I did.

Not saved opened. The window is probably named "Locate Link Browser", right?

Browse to IEXPLORE.EXE and press open. Everything should work fine now
again.
