prob w/ multiple vpn conn from same remote LAN

I have W2K Advanced Server running RAS and setup to accept
incoming VPN's. I have 2 computers in the same remote LAN
that can only be connected 1 at a time. Either of two
situations occur, one is connected and the other is
refused connection (I have no details on dialogs or error
messages) or the second is granted connection and the
first is dosconnected. The RAS is setup to use DHCP for
IPs, and the pool is sufficiently large to add both. The
remote LAN is connected to the internet through a DSL
router. The local LAN is connected in the same manner.
Thanks for any help....

Are the remote clients connected to a router? Some SOHO routers will
only allow one VPN connection to be made through them, and cause the sort of
problem you describe (sometimes with no error messages at all).

Yes they are both behind a linksys dsl router (not sure
which model, but it is an older one) in my search to solve
this problem I have gleaned that maybe what I need to do
is get a VPN router for the remote end and have it set up
the connection to the local office, so that any of the
remote computers in that network will have access to the
local office. Thanks for the help. And yes there is no
error generated at all on either end that I have seen.

Yes, a router to router VPN link would be a good solution to the
problem. Many routers on the market now can handle this, and the prices are
still falling.
