After doing a repair install of Windows XP I am unable to
set up a new internet connection. When I use the internet
connectin wizard, the radio button to chosse a dial-up
connection is grayed out and I can only choose a
broadband connection, which I don't have. MSN Support
said it was something Dell had to help with, Dell doesn't
know what to do about it.

Pls help...

Did you have Windows XP Service Pack 1 installed and then do a repair
install with a non-SP1 disk? If so, the solution is to re-apply
Service Pack 1.

Yes, I had Windows XP Service Pack 1 installed and then
did a repair install with a non-SP1 disk.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get the service
pack if I can't connect to the internet from that
computer?

Thanks!

If you don't have a Service Pack 1 CD, see if someone can download the
update from this web page and write it to a CD for you:
