network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have access premission.
Access is denied.

Windows XP Home Edition is not designed to join a domain.
You'll need to upgrade to Windows XP Professional.

Hi, thanks for answering,
im aware that home edition cannot join a domain.
but im not willing to join him to the domain, i only want him to be able to
see shares on the domain controller(shares which i set with full premission
to everyone and other computers which are not connected to the domain, can
see.)
as i already mentioned, he can read the share if i give him an exact
location(such as: //server/sharename/) but if i try to get im see the list of
shares, by typing:
//server , it gives me the access denied error.

Thanks.

That is the best you can do with Home. It is not designed for what you are
trying to do. Live with what you have or upgrade to Pro are your only
choices.

well, i have another xp home computer, also not connected to the domain, and
when i try to view all shares(\\servername) it either pops up a login popup,
and i enter a username+password and its fine, or, it just let me see al
shares.

Thanks,
Ofir.
