Prioritizing tasks

How come after all this time Outlook still does not allow users to simply
number tasks in order of priority? There are many third-party apps that add
this functionality, but why isn't it native? It seems so simple.

Did you know that if you display the tasks in an unsorted table view, you
can drag the tasks up and down the list to set their priority?
