Printing with resume paper

When printing pages from Microsoft Word with standard copy
paper I do not have a problem.
When I change paper to 24# weight (standard size)resume
grade my document will not print. I've tried
troubleshooting this problem, but nothing I have done has
fixed the problem.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
 
Look in your printer manual... there may be settings for thicker paper that
sometimes mean you must move a lever up or down, right or left etc etc.
Varies with each make and model of printer.
