I've got a sheet... defined print area... go to print preview and the
last column doesn't have gridlines... all the others do. I want them
there, but I can't get them to show up... any ideas?

Using MSExcel 2002

Did all that... it's just not printing the gridlines in that one
column... and it's getting to be infuriating!

Thanks for the suggestions, tho...

Taylor,

The first thing is to determine if it's printing gridlines (File - Page Setup - Sheet tab -
Gridlines) or borders (Format - Cells - Borders. If it's failing to print gridlines, then
it's just failing. You might try updating the print driver for your printer (from the
manufacturer's web site) or try printing it on another printer. Print Preview uses that
print driver. If it's borders, ensure they're there (easier if you turn gridline display
off (Tools - Options - View - Gridlines). In both cases, be sure you're in the sheet when
doing the commands.

Just for yuks, I went in and turned gridlines off and put borders around
the cells in that column and it won't print the borders. the cell
contents are printing just fine, but not the gridlines or the borders...

Taylor,

Did you try actually printing? It'll likely fail in the same way, but it's worth a go. Did
another printer fail in the same way (using print preview or really printing)?

You might be able to do an end-run by including one more column (presuming it's empty) in
your print area. Let it fail on that! :) If it isn't empty, then insert a column and set
it to zero width (or nearly zero), and include it in the print area.

THis worked. Actually, I added a column to the sheet, but then
redefined the print area to not include the new column and the print
worked fine. Thanks for the help!
