very small type. i cant change this. had an epson cx4600 with similar
problem. microsoft told me to use true type (TT) which worked but printer
died. got this one and have same problem but TT no longer makes it print in
a normal mediun size. i changed fonts and it printed out smaller. microsoft
wants $245 p/h for tech help. epson says its not the printer. OEM out of
business. anybody got any ideas for me thay might work? hope so!

I can't imagine why Microsoft would say they would fix an Epson printer
for $245 or, in fact, for any fee at all.

Can you print OK from a word processor such as WordPerfect or MS Word?
What about from Wordpad? Or Excel or Access? If the answer is yes,
then Epson's probably correct, it isn't the printer.

You don't say what application(s) are giving you the problem. If you
have trouble printing email using Outlook, try asking in the Outlook
newsgroup. Similarly, if by printing text from screen you mean printing
web pages from IE, try one of the IE groups. See
http://aumha.org/nntp.htm for a list of all the Microsoft public newsgroups.

Before you do that, however, make sure that you have the latest driver
and other software for your printer. The following link has drivers as
well as a couple of printing utilities that might help, especially the
"web-to-page" utility. Make sure you download the files appropriate to
the OS you're using. Follow the directions -- especially the one that
says to install both the printer driver and the Twain driver before
connecing the printer to the computer. In fact, You probably should
uninstall the printer completely before re-installing the new drivers.
