I'm running Windows 2000 Pro SP4 on a P4 2.4 system with 128 MB of memory.
The system was running fine, then when I run my DOS program, it was printing
to LPT1 blank page after blank page. When I close the program and open a DOS
prompt and try to run edit, it did the same thing again. When I look at the
task manager the ntvdm process is running high. What could be causing that
and what a possible solution?

Thanks,

Bernard

Don't use edit; use notepad.exe instead. Edit is a DOS legacy program
that does all sorts of funny things, e.g. it consumes large amounts of CPU
time for no good reason.
