Printing specified pages in a document

Guest

I would like to print only certain pages in a document and not the whole
document. The document has a few page breaks as well as section breaks.
However, when I specify that I want, e.g. pages 1-3 to print, it prints out
the whole document. Am I missing something, does Word 2007 have a different
way of this being done?

I've been having the same problem with a document I'm working on. It has
over 25 sections. I didn't ask because I thought maybe it was something
funky about the set up here. Maybe we can both get help with this issue.
:)

(I'm using Word 2003 here.)

Actually, I'm also using Word 2003 but a colleague of mine has this problem
in Word 2007. I've used this function with the greatest of ease and success
in Word 2003, but thought that Word 2007 might have some other features in
this regard that I don't know about, specially since I'm not using the
program. I must say, I do print a lot of documents with section breaks, but
successfully print only specific pages by simply asking for them on the print
menu. The fact that this colleague of mine are not able to do the same in
Word 2007 and you having trouble with it in Word 2003, makes me think that it
might have something to do with the printer setup maybe.

Hopefully, someone will be able to help us shortly!

The only advice I can give you and that I've given my colleague, is to
actually go and select the text on the pages you want to print, and marking
the "Selection" box on the Printer Menu. That's the only way we seem to be
able to do it the quickest way. Hope this will help you.

(This is going to be an UGLY one for me because of all of the sections.)

About 200 pages, each section has a different page numbering system, of
course. I'm recreating a paper manual so that we can get more copies made.
The origninals are just about shot and no one has any clue where there might
be an electronic file. If they find it now, I'll shoot them. I'm about 10
pages from the end.
