Printing Slides on HP Color LaserJet 5550dtn

Often, dates on charts pasted into Powerpoint from Excel as Picture
(Enhanced Metafile) end up as blacked out areas. Is there any solution
other than obtaining the Excel source files, changing font size and pasting
to PowerPoint slide?

(Problem does not occur with HP LaserJet 1200 and source files are sometimes
difficult to obtain)

2 things to try first.

Go to the manufacturers website and check for updated printer drivers. You
would be amazed at how often some printer ship new with outdated drivers.

Also, try to install the printer locally (direct connection to the machine
USB or parallel). Often, network print drivers do not function as well as
local ones. Even if you move the machine back to its network location after
it is installed, this may clear the problems.
