Printing several files

To print several files,
the WORD 2002 Help instructs as follows:
Open - Open folder - Mark the files -
Tools - Print.

While this does work, the files are printed
in random sequence. I want them printed
in the alphabetical order as they
are shown in the list.

Can do?

Christian

As an alternative, I tested printing from an operating system Window (My
Documents). In the Window, I am sorted alphabetically in Details view. I
selected the files to print in a random order, then, File>Print. They all
printed alphabetically. I tried again sorted by date modified, and selected
in random order. They printed in order from top to bottom in the window. It
appears that if you print from a window rather than from within Word, you can
control the order of print by sorting the document list before selecting, and
using the File>Print command.

When I tested these options in Word 2002, like you, I found the print order
to be quite random.

Maybe this alternative will work better for you?
Hope it helps.
