printing selected rows

I've seen in the past where a doc will print only those
cells selected with an "X". For example; in the
construction industry, a buyer selects a total of 10
options on a multiple paged spreadsheet offering hundreds
of options. When those options are selected, only those
selections print (rather than the hundreds of selections
on many sheets, only one or two sheets print and they
would be the only options selected). There must somehow be
a formula to print selected rows of a spreadsheet. I'm
trying to create that spreadsheet and need help....

one easy way would be to use 'Filter - autofilter' and choose/filter
only the tagged rows. after this print the worksheet

You can filter the sheet on the column with the X and print the sheet.
Or use a macro to print the selection areas on one page

Using your example, it seems that data>filter>autofilter would work.
