Printing problems

I have a documents that print weird. When I go to print the lines of text in
the document all print at the begenning of the line on top of eachother.
after this the document looks this way on the screen. I have to rebooot to
get the document to show up properly in word. This happens on locally
connected injet and Network attached laser
 
This seems to happen when Word loses track of the printer. Rebooting does
solve the problem, as you've seen, but it can also be as simple as opening
the File Print dialog and selecting a different printer, then switching
back. Clearing out temp files also helps.
