Hi. I hope someone out there can help me. Trying to print a word document
with images (copied from the Net) and colour shaded tables but have had
nothing but grief. Printing on a Cannon i550 on Toshiba notebook with Win
XP. When I installed the printer onto a PC with Win 98 using the default
driver off the CD it prints amazing - almost exactly what is on screen. But
even after completely stripping the computer of all remnants of Cannon
installation and reinstalling with most up-to-date driver (after being on
the phone with the Cannon tech for almost 1 1/2 hours) it still does not
print accurately. Even had to modify the printer settings to Printing
Preferences/Color Adjustment to set "Enable ICM" otherwise the colours were
even farther off - if not black in some cases.

Bottom line, there MUST be some setting in WinXP that is causing the
printing to be so different than my PC running Win98 and nobody has been
able to tell me what.

Anyone have any ideas??????

Thanks,

David

I assume you are using XP drivers for the printer and not the win98 driver
that came with the printer.
Uninstall the printer, shut down the computer, turn on the printer and be
sure it's connected then restart the computer and let Windows install the
driver automatically.
Hopefully it's as simple as that.
