printing problem

When I print a document using Internet Explorer. My PC
locks up and I must restart my PC. I am using a HP
deskjet 5550C printer. OS is XP professional

Got XP drivers for your printer? Cleaned out temp folders recently? Got
rid of all spyware? Minimized the number of backgound apps?
 
Clear the IE temp cache.
