Printing problem

I print to a laserjet printer on lpt1. I want landscape with .5 margins, not
the default portrait with 1" margins. How come I need to reset the report to
landscape with custom margins each first time I try to print. This is only
after starting up Access. Once I have printed it retains the settings.
