Printing problem with internet explorer

I have searched the forum, and see others are experiencing the same issues.
Yet I do not know how to resolve it. Any help would be appreciated.
We have SEVERAL machines running Windows 200 Professional (5.00.2195) with
sp4. We applied all security patches, windows updates, etc., earlier this
week, on two machines, and now they won't print 100% of the time to the
network printer.
HPLaserjet 4300n. It will print a windows test page. It will print from
Word or Outlook. It will consistently fail if you try to print from the
internet or our accounting package syspro6. When printing from IE we receive
the following error: Function address 0x4f53ef90 caused a protection fault.
(exception code 0xc000005) Some or all property page(s) may not be displayed.
If anyone knows a work around, or which hotfix I should "uninstall", your
comments and suggestions are welcomed. We have already deleted and
reinstalled the printer, looked for updated drivers etc. NOTE: our xp
machines appear to be uneffected by security updates. We are still able to
print in the XP os.
CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE?
