My task is to convert a page in Excel to a PDF format:

I have been told that when you choose a printer to print an
Excel page (if you want a PDF output) there is a printer
setting "Write PDF" as opposed to using Adobe Distiller.
Would this be an add-in or an external piece of software?
I have been using the Adobe Distiller and the desired
output (always graphics) have been different from what is
printed out in Excel. Our conversions aren't "clean".

SUGGESTIONS WELCOME

You can still print a excel spreadsheet to Adobe (pdf format) as you normally would. What I think someone is referring to is that when you go to the save portion of the printing there is the two boxes that show on the bottome, one saying save as and below it save as type. In the save as type box there should be a drop down arrow and it will ask whether you want it in jpg, pdf, btm, etc. That is where you may have to choose, but nothing else should be added to your printing menu bar
Hope I explained okay
