Printing not coming out right color

Well I'm not sure if you guys/girls will be able to help
me with this problem or not. One guy here at work is
working on an advertisement for concrete that comes in
different colors. He got a background color that he likes
and pasted it in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 then made it 3d and
circular. Well needless to say it doesn't print the same
color on the screen. He tried to print to a number of
printers and the same thing happened. Then he printed
from a different program and the color got alot closer to
what it should be. Does anybody have any ideas of what I
could try???

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Adam

I would imagine that your printer driver(s) have an
option to adjust the amount of each color being printed
(E.G. 10% more yellow, 20% less red, etc). My Epson
photoprinter does. You just have to experiment till you
match the colors you see on screen (assuming that they're
correct too). Also, make sure that your driver is set for
the correct paper type, as this will also affect the
printout. (It's still best to use the paper & inks made by
the printer manufacturer, as they will always give you the
best results when quality counts)
