Printing message Attachments

P

PJ

One of our users has come up with an interesting question.

They send a fair amount of emails with attachments and have to keep a paper
record of all correspondence. When they print the email, none of the
attachments are printed. They only want the attachment name and not the
actual files to be printed.

I've had a look through the print setup, but can not find anything. Is this
possible?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers in advance.

Not an answer I'm afraid, but just general curiosity. As I have been
associated with many different types of companies over the last 24 years,
I'm curious as to why the need should arise to keep a paper copy. Surely if
the document in question needs to be produced at some stage, the printing
could be done then?

They are legal consultants in the construction industry and they like to
keep a paper trail of what was been happening. I'm not entirely sure if
they have some sort of legal obligation to keep records etc, but I would
have thought electronic copies would be sufficient.

Interesting. In the US are they? I believe that in UK an electronic copy is
admissable evidence now.

Outlook 2002 with all the service packs and hotfixes loaded.

The add-in's look very good. Worth spending the $18 just to have a go!

Cheers,
