select the area you would like to print, and (in Windows) select file |
print, then in the print Dialog, find the Page Range section and select
'Selection' click Print

I wish to print only a part of a message. Please suggest a way.

If the message is HTML, that should be possible from the File>Print menu of
the open message. If the message is not HTML, click Edit>Edit Message, then
Format>HTML and then the Print widget will allow the selection or range.

It appears this method is only available if the message is brought up
separately rather than within Outlook's Preview window.

Of course. That's why I specifically said "the File>Print menu of the _open_
message".
