Printing in IE7

James Silverton

Hello, All!

I know that I asked this question before but did not receive any
positive answers and I apologize fro trying again.

When I use Print Preview in IE7, the window opens with "100%"
displayed in the scale box but that rapidly changes to "Shrink
to Fit" as the page is displayed. It seems to me that there must
be some control that would retain 100% which is my preferred
size. A lot of web pages have extraneous junk that I don't want
printed. Has anyone any idea where the default scale is set; in
the Registry perhaps? I admit that it's only one extra operation
to change the scale but I'd prefer not to.

Thanks in advance,

what you might try to do is
to install a pdf printer.

if you set the pdf printer
as the default printer, then
any and all your webpages
will be printed into a pdf file
instead of the printer paper.

then with your pdf viewer
you can delete any pages
that you do not want and / or
print any pages you want by
re-printing them to the printer.

three freewares to consider
for the above method:

1) primo pdf (freeware)
2) foxit view (freeware)
2) adobe acrobat (full retail)
