printing from word 2003

I am haiving a ahrd tome trying to get a word doc to print, the printer is
installed correctly (network printer) I can print from any other applicaiton,
excel, word pad, email ect, but not word. When you select (existing
document) to print, the print dialog box comes up and the hourglass does not
allow you to select print.

If I open a NEW doc, and selct frile > Print the print dialog box comes up
and I select print, but it spools but will retunr an error aobut the spooler.
I have stopped the service, deleted the files in
windows\system32\spool\printers to no avail. This used to work up until
about 10 days ago.

HELP?
