Printing from Ms-Dos Windows XP Pro

Guest

I have an old program that needs to print to my USB Printer.
I've shared the printer using Net USE, and redirected LTP1 to the share.
When I print something it stays on the print queue, it prints nothing, and
stays on the queue forever, at least until I boot the computer.
This also happens if I print from the command line, for example: "dir >LPT1".
Can someone help me? Is there a way to solve it?

your printer may be a GDI (AKA Windows-Only) one.

You may want to have a look at Printfil to redirect your DOS jobs to any
Windows printer, including USB, GDI and virtual printers. You can find more
info and a free trial at http://www.printfil.com
