Printing -- Defaults for PowerPoint in General

I am attempting to find the location on how to set PowerPoint XP to default to
PRINT HANDOUTS.

I know how to do this per presentation -- but seek to set up machines that
rather than default of SLIDES.

I suspect this is through either:

Adding a registry setting
Updating Folder Options PPT

Any ideas?

Neither. The print settings are stored on a presentation by presentation basis,
there's no mechanism for setting it per-computer.

But visit http://skp.mvps.org and try out Shyam's Save The Trees add-in.
I suspect it'll do exactly what you're after.
